Banana Cake

This cake is one of several classic cakes that is perfect to be enjoyed in the afternoon, with a cup of tea as its companion. ^_^

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate soda
  • 50 mL milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour

Method:
  1. Preparation: Pre-heat the oven at 180°C. Apply thin butter on the surface of a pan for baking.
  2. Melt butter, sugar, and vanilla.
  3. Put it into a big bowl, add eggs, beat well.
  4. Mash bananas, then put it into the mixture, stir well.
  5. Dissolve bicarbonate soda in milk, then put it into the mixture, stir well.
  6. Add flour to the mixture, stir well.
  7. Put the mixture into the pan and bake for around 45 minutes or until well cooked (check it with a toothpick or a fork).
Banana cake is ready to serve. Enjoy! :9

Chicken Noodle with Mushroom

While browsing random recipes on the internet, I found this one. Pretty easy.. :)

Ingredients:
  • 1-2 chicken breasts, cut in small dice.
  • 4-6 mushrooms, chopped in small pieces, boiled for a while, put aside.
  • 1-2 pak choy
  • 4-5 garlic cloves, pressed and then minced.
  • 1 spring onion, minced
  • 2 chicken blocks
  • egg noodle or regular noodle sold at Tesco would work.
  • vegetable oil
  • salty soy sauce
  • sweet soy sauce
  • pepper powder
  • salt

Method:
  1. Boil 1 L of water with 2 chicken blocks, set aside.
  2. Heat 4 tbsp of vegetable oil, add garlic, stir for a while until it smells good.
  3. Add 2 tbsp of salty soc sauce and 3 tbsp of water, stir for a while, set aside.
  4. Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil, add chicken dice, fry for a while.
  5. Add mushrooms, stir with the chicken for about 3 minutes.
  6. Take around 2 cups of the prepared chicken broth, then add into the chicken.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Add 2 tbsp of sweet soy sauce, stir well.
  9. Cook until the chicken's done, then set aside.
  10. Boil the egg noodle (or regular noodle).
  11. When the noodle's almost done, add pak choy into the pan, stir for less than a minute. Then, strain them, put them in a bowl.
  12. Put some cooked chicken and mushroom with the gravy on top of it, and the garlic as well.
  13. Put the minced spring onion on top as well, if you like.
